WELCOME TO BRILL ELEMENTARY!!
We hope your child has a smooth transition into Brill!
Change of Clothes: Any student may not make it to the bathroom in time, spill lunch, have a bloody nose or fall into water or mud. Please place a change of clothes in a plastic bag with your child's name on it and place it in their backpack.
**Any clothes that are borrowed from the clinic need to be washed and dried and returned to the clinic. Always check your child's backpack daily** Thank you!
Medication:
** WE DO NOT KEEP ANY MEDICINES ON HAND IN THE CLINIC FOR STUDENTS - MEDICINES HAVE TO BE BROUGHT TO THE CLINIC BY PARENTS.
* Klein personnel are not permitted to give medication of any kind, unless the parent signs the Klein Medication Authorization Form and brings the medication & form to the clinic.
* All medications must be brought to the clinic by the parent/guardian or an other adult.
* Prescription medication must be in the original container with a prescription label on it.
* Non prescription medication needed for longer than two weeks must have a written request from a physician.
* No vitamins, health food or herbal preparations will be given by any school employee.
* Children are not allowed to carry any type of medication with them. This is for the safety of all of our students
Illnesses:
* A student will be sent home if he/she has a fever of 100.0 degrees or higher, is vomiting or has diarrhea. Your child may return to school once he/she has been fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
* Please keep your child home if they have fever, vomiting, diarrhea or any contagious disease. Please inform the nurse of such occurrences.
* Notify (email/call) attendance every day that your child is absent from school. A doctor's note will excuse the absence.
